Trip leader: Laura Debnar

Description: You will be guided by zoo educators on a twilight walking tour through the new Ectotherm Complex where you will see several nocturnal animals including native snails, coconut crabs, and Japanese Giant Salamanders. This special tour is currently unavailable to the public and the Honolulu Zoo is organizing this event specifically for conference participants. There will be three tours between 5:30 – 6:30 p.m on June 19, 2018. Please note that this tour will be before the conference reception event. All proceeds will go to the Aloha Aina Conservation Fund.

Difficulty: Easy. Participants will need to find their own transportation to the Honolulu Zoo. It is 0.3 miles (6 min, walking distance) from the conference venue (Hilton Waikiki Beach) and 0.5 miles (9 min, walking distance) to the reception at Waikiki Aquarium.

Cost: $15 for children; $20 for adults; $5 for Kama’aina

Capacity: 75 participants
