Location

AMS 2024 will be held at the Hilton Pasadena hotel, less than 10 miles from downtown Los Angeles, CA. Los Angeles is serviced by several major airports, so options for flights include:

Transportation to Hilton hotel venue

If flying into LAX, there are several options for getting to the Hilton venue. Taxi and rideshare service is available from LAX in the LAXit lot a short walk or free shuttle ride from the terminal, or from other points of arrival; see here for full information on where taxis can be found, depending on where you arrive. LAXit is an outdoor lot where different lines form for taxis or various rideshare companies to pick up passengers. No pick-ups are allowed at the arrival terminal by taxis or rideshares, but a friend can pick you up at the airport. It is always recommended to ask the driver for the price and agree to the price of the trip before you get in a taxi, but taxis have been comparable to rideshares in cost and more reliable to get at LAX in recent experience.

The LAX FlyAway bus can be booked in advance, and offers an inexpensive way to get from the airport to Union Station in downtown LA. From there, a taxi or rideshare to the hotel will be substantially less expensive (less than 10 miles away).

Accommodations

A block of rooms is reserved at the Hilton Pasadena (168 S Los Robles Ave, Pasadena, CA 91101), where all conference events will take place. Standard rooms are $199/night single or double, or $219 triple or quad occupancy. We encourage members to stay at the hotel for convenience and to help the society meet our commitment to the venue. However, There are many other hotels nearby and other options for accommodations through vacation home rental websites, etc, within walking distance of the venue.
