Registration and welcome reception, 2- 6 PM on the patio off the main entrance and Pasadena ballroom.

AMS council meeting (5 PM; San Marino room).

Tentative: kleptobiology workshop, 10 AM – 5 PM

5 August:

Morning: AMS President’s symposium, “Molluscs in symbiosis: mechanisms and diversity” (California ballroom).

Confirmed speakers & topics:

Baldomero Olivera – conotoxins and specialization in a hyperdiverse radiation

Viridiana Avila-Magana & Margaret McFall-Ngai – bobtail squid-Vibrio symbiosis

Jessica Goodheart – kleptobiology of cnidae by the model nudibranch, Berghia

Sonia Cruz – integrative studies of kleptoplasty

Ruiqi Li & Jingchun Li - molecular insights into bivalve photosymbiosis

Afternoon: Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) symposium, “Molluscs in education and outreach to underserved and indigenous communities,” followed by panel discussion (California ballroom). Sponsered by CSU COAST

Morning: 7^th Int. Heterobranch Workshop symposium: advances in marine heterobranch science (California ballroom).

Afternoon: Contributed talks (three sessions).

Morning: WSM President’s symposium & 7^th IHW: pulmonate ecology & evolution (California ballroom).

Afternoon: Pulmonate symposium II: conservation & disease (California ballroom).
