The 92nd annual meeting of the American Malacological Society will be held June 15-19, 2026, in Syracuse, New York, immediately preceding the 2026 Evolution Meeting in Cleveland, Ohio. The meeting will be hosted by the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF), located in the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, with the Onondaga Nation as the “Central Fire” — a fitting place for diverse malacologists to reconnect.
The AMS 2026 meeting will bring together students, researchers, educators, conservation practitioners, and professionals from across the malacological sciences for four days of symposia, contributed talks, workshops, field trips, and community-building activities. Programming will span evolutionary biology, ecology, conservation, taxonomy, paleontology, Indigenous knowledge systems, and applied molluscan science.
The meeting will feature:
The urban SUNY-ESF campus offers an intimate, walkable venue designed to support meaningful scientific exchange and strong social interaction among participants.
Detailed information on registration, abstracts, and the scientific program will be posted on this website as it becomes available. If you are a vendor interested in tabling during the meeting, or a sponsor looking to support students or events, please contact the AMS President Rebecca Rundell (rundell@esf.edu).
Do you have mollusc-related items or books for the Student Awards Auction? Please send them to Rebecca at the mailing address below, or let her know what you will be bringing along with you. No shells/specimens, please.
