Student Travel Awards The American Malacological Society offers Student Travel Awards to help support student participation at the Society’s Annual Meeting. These awards are granted on a competitive basis and are intended to assist students who will be presenting their research at the conference. Applicants for the award:
Constance Boone Award for Best Student Presentation
The American Malacological Society sponsors an annual competition recognizing outstanding student presentations at the Society’s meeting. Winners receive the Constance Boone Award. This award honors Constance Boone, a past president of both the American Malacological Society and the Houston Conchological Society, and co-editor of Texas Conchologist. As a long-time associate in the Malacology Department of the Houston Museum of Natural Science and a dedicated supporter of students, Boone played an important role in advancing American malacology and encouraging the next generation of researchers.
